ERAPPA's President Message
On behalf of your ERAPPA Board
of Directors and the New York
Chapter Host Committee, it is my
honor and privilege to welcome you
to the 2004 ERAPPA Annual
Meeting and Educational Conference.
As president of the Eastern
Region of APPA, I assure you that
this educational conference will meet
or exceed all of your expectations.
The Eastern Region represents more
than 800 campuses and institutions
from Newfoundland to Maryland, making up close to
one third of APPA’s membership. Many of the benefits
we enjoy as members of ERAPPA culminate at these
annual meetings, and this year gives all the indications of
matching or exceeding those past experiences.
The work put in by host committees and board members
these past three years in Syracuse mirrors the dedication
and commitment of all ERAPPA’s members. I am
honored to be associated with all of you. From education,
professional development, information sharing,
exposure to new products and services to simply being
around people who share many of the same problems
and concerns, this year in Syracuse promises to deliver.
I recommend that all members please make a
special effort to let our business partners realize
how much we appreciate their participation
and support. Our entire experience here is
enhanced by their support of ERAPPA and this
conference. From exhibitions to sponsoring
events, the business partners have also worked
extremely hard at making the entire experience
here worthwhile. Please show your respect and
consideration by visiting them and spending
quality time with them. They are here to make
your work life more successful with a variety of
support services and products.
If this is your first time to an ERAPPA conference, I
extend a special welcome to you and ask that you make
the most of this opportunity. I also thank those who
encouraged you to come. Effective mentorship can be its
own reward as well as being key to success for both
parties. Hopefully, both new and seasoned participants
will realize the potential and make a point to reap the
benefits.
Changing Times, Enduring Values ... Welcome to
Syracuse!
